East Tennessee's volunteer spirit has never shone so brightly as when Extreme Makeover: Home Edition came to Knoxville. Thousands of people pitched in to build a new house for a local family. All along the way 6 News covered this story, but even then, there wasn't time to tell the whole story in our newscasts. For the premiere episode of 6 Around Town, we take a look back at this amazing project. We share heartfelt stories and behind-the-scenes moments. We also have an update on the finishing touches that are still going on to make the home a special place for a special family.
